The cost for a basic ecu upgrade is $225. This
includes socketing, programming and shipping via usps priority
mail. It requires you to mail your ecu to us in advance.
If you decide to purchase a ecu without sending
your ecu in first there is a refundable core charge of $200
in addition to the basic ecu upgrade.
If you already have a socketed ecu and all you
need is a registered tune with your upgrades you can purchase
just the chip for $175.
Keep in mind if you have a registered eprom
purchased from ztuner.com we will update your ecu FREE if
you decide to upgrade your car further in the future. There
is a nominal $6 shipping fee. Simply e-mail us with your particulars
and send us your eprom in the mail and we will reprogram and
send it back next day. If you want your eprom overnighted,
let us know and we will bill you for the additional shipping
charge via paypal. This applies only to the original registered
purchaser.
Ordering your ECU
There are several questions that must be answered
when ordering your ECU from Ztuner.com
We need the following information from you via
e-mail or phone
- Year of car
- Type of car (NA or TT)
- Transmission (auto or manual)
- Emissions (Federal or California)
- Intake (Single pop or dual intake)
- Injectors (stock, 555, 720, 740, 850)
- Special instructions ( we can vary the tune of your car
by being more aggressive or streetable - we recommend that
you call and speak with us before you decide on what level
of tune you like - there may be an extra charge for this
service - TALK to US)
Core charge explained
Just like other tuners we have a core charge system for our
ECU's. Here is how it works.
Scenario 1: You send us your ecu we do the work on
it and send it back - NO Core charge. You pay for the shipping
to us - we pay shipping back.
Scenario 2: You don't want downtime so you order the
ECU. We send you one of OUR preprogrammed ECU's and charge
you a REFUNDABLE core of $ 200. Keep in mind this charge is
in ADDITION to the cost of the ECU program. If you return
us a GOOD working ECU of the same year / configuration as
the one we sent you, we refund the $ 200 back to you. You
pay for the shipping to us - we pay shipping to you. All cores
must be returned in 30 days after we ship the ecu out to you.

Cost Explained
We are aware of alternative tuned chips available for extremely
low prices in the market. Keep in mind you are not paying
for the hardware involved but our experience in tuning these
cars and the time spent on a dyno testing various configurations.
We are always learning and we incorporate what we learn into
our new chips. We offer you the reflash for free so you have
the benifit of our continued experience with these cars. You
do not get a precanned "guessed" tune with us. Every
configuration has been on a dyno at some point and tweaked
till it performs perfectly. It is easy to change a couple
of tables and call it tuned. We access and modify a lot more
tables in the ecu to take advantage of what the factory ecu
